Admission Requirements
There is no application fee for the online graduate degree programs at Saint Xavier University.

Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction
Please submit:
- A completed application form
- Official transcript(s) sent directly from the Registrar of the accredited baccalaureate degree-granting college/university and all graduate coursework. A minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required. The Admission Committee at the School of Education may consider applicants for admission with GPA's above a 2.5.
- Two completed recommendation forms. Recommendation forms must be completed by individuals (supervisors, professors, coworkers, etc.) who can attest to your academic competence, professional skills, and character.
- Copies of current teaching certificate(s), if applicable. Please provide copies of both front and back to show current validation.
If you are a non-US citizen:
Please submit:
- A completed application form
- Official transcripts from any colleges/universities attended in the U.S.
- Official transcript evaluation of undergraduate and graduate coursework from colleges/universities attended outside the U.S. Students should request a course-by-course evaluation from either ECE (Educational Credential Evaluators) or WES (World Education Services).
- Official results of the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). For consideration, applicants must score a minimum of 80 on the internet based exam, 550 on the paper based exam, or 213 on the computer based exam.
- For international applicants to the Graham School of Management, official results of the GRE (Graduate Record Examination) are required. For consideration, applicants must show a minimum combined GRE Score of 1000, with a minimum score of 450 on the Verbal section.
MS in Service Management
Please submit:
- A completed application form, which includes a one-page statement of your personal career goals
- Official transcript(s) sent directly from the Registrars for all colleges/universities attended, including any graduate level coursework
- A copy of your current resume
- Two completed recommendation forms. Recommendation forms must be completed by individuals (supervisors, professors, co-workers, etc.) who can attest to your academic competence, professional skills, and character.
- (OPTIONAL) Results of the GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test)
Special Note: Applicants with a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale will be considered priority candidates and are not required to submit letters of recommendation.
If you are a non-US citizen:
Please submit:
- A completed online application including a personal statement of your career goals.
- Official TOEFL score report (550 paper based, 213 computer based required for admission for graduate students. Saint Xavier's institution code is 1708.)
- Minimum combined GRE score of 1000, with a minimum score of 450 on the Verbal section.
- A copy of your current resume.
- English translations of official and attested transcripts from all colleges/universities attended. In addition, an evaluation by an accredited credential evaluator is required for all non-US transcripts. Please use Educational Credential Evaluators or World Education Services (WES).
- Minimum grade point average of 3.0
MS in Nursing - Clinical Nurse Leader
Please submit:
- Complete the online application.
- Graduation from an NLNAC or CCNE accredited baccalaureate nursing program with a GPA of 3.0/4.0 scale.
- One official and complete transcript sent directly from the Registrar of each college and/or School of Nursing for coursework on the undergraduate and graduate level.
- A copy of a current registered nursing license.
- Two complete recommendations from nursing professionals, i.e. recent employers, professors, etc. One must be provided by a professional nurse who has observed the applicant's clinical performance.
- Submission of official scores from the Graduate Record Exam (GRE). Applicants whose cumulative GPA from the degree granting institution is 3.0/4.0 are not required to submit GRE test scores.
If you are a non-US citizen:
Please submit:
- Results of TOEFL test for applicants who are non-native English Speakers
- Copy of I-151 or I-551 for U.S. Permanent Residents
- Copy of I-94 or I-688 for eligible non-citizens
- Non-U.S. transcripts need to be officially evaluated by an accredited agency
